Hitachi Vantara Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, a Japanese conglomerate. The company was formed in September 2017 by the merger of Hitachi Data Systems, Hitachi Insight Group and Pentaho, an acquisition from 2015. The Hitachi Vantara business was further expanded in 2019 with the incorporation of Hitachi Consulting into the company (another Hitachi Ltd subsidiary).  Hitachi Vantara sells storage systems, server infrastructure and data-focused solutions for the enterprise.
